Xtra Time Web Desk: A brilliant unbeaten partnership of 98 runs between Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav saw India beat Hong Kong by 40 runs to seal a spot in Super 4's. India in their first innings scored 192/2. It is the highest run scored by any team in this Asia Cup 2022. Chasing a target of 193 in Dubai Hong Kong ended up scoring 152 for 5 wickets. Babar Hayat was their top-scorer with a knock of 41 Runs.

Virat Kohli scored 59 not out off 44 Balls and Suryakumar Yadav scored 68 not out off 26 Balls.

Initially the match was a bit slower and the team score was expected between 150 to 160. But Surya Kumar's super knock and Virat's confident innings lifted the team's total quite high with only 2 wickets loss. Rohit Sharma scored 21 runs and KL Rahul scored 36 Runs. This is the match where Rohit Sharma also completed his 3500 International T20 runs.

On the other hand, there were poor bowling performances from Indian young pacers Avesh Khan and Arshdeep Singh. .Ravindra Jadeja got one wicket and affected a run out of Hong Kong captain Nizakat Khan. Bhuvneshwar Kumar got one wicket too while Yuzvendra Chahal went wicketless for second consecutive match.
