Internet Desk: Security has been ramped up around Upton Park ahead of Wednesday’s seismic London derby between West Ham and Tottenham.

The iconic statue of West Ham heroes Bobby Moore, Sir Geoff Hurst and Martin Peters, who helped England to World Cup glory in 1966, has been boarded up.

Officially known as ‘The World Cup Sculpture’ or ‘The Champions’, the statue was destroyed last October following the Hammers’ 2-1 victory against Chelsea at Upton Park when a litre of blue paint was tipped over the base.
