Xtra Time Web Desk: A power-packed partnership of 104 runs off 62 balls between Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav paved the way for a 6-wicket win by India over Australia in the third T20I at Hyderabad on Sunday. The win also gave Rohit Sharma a& his boys 2-1 series win. It was the first T20I series win against the Aussies at home after 9 years. Kohli smashed 63 off 48 balls while Suryakumar blasted his way to 69 off 39 balls.

Chasing a target of 187 was never going to be easy and Australia made it more difficult with Josh Hazlewood removing KL Rahul in the first over while Rohit Sharma departed in the 4th over, leaving India reeling at 30/2.

It was then up to Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav to take charge of the proceedings. Surya’s 39 ball knock was studded with five 4s and as many sixes. Before Surya got out, the partnership between him and Kohli added 104 runs for the 3rd wicket off just 62 deliveries.

After Surya was dismissed, Kohli came out all guns blazing. He brought up his 33rd T20 half-century, scoring 63 off 48 balls to take India close to the target. Kohli eventually got out off the second ball of the final over bowled by Daniel Sams. Hardik Pandya completed the formalities as India won the match with a ball to spare.
