Kolkata: Mehtab Hussain is set add another feather in his cap when a postcard stamp is set to be released on his honour. The inauguration of the stamp is to be done by Padma Sree winner P.K.Banerjee. The Minister of State Sports and Youth Services Laxmi Ratan Shukla would also be present at the inauguration. An overwhelmed Mehtab Hussain claimed that his is going to be the biggest achievement of his life.
Mohammedan Sporting Club has approached Stephen Dias to be their new recruit of this season. Though the confirmation is yet pending from the Munbai FC footballer, the amount of money seeked by Dias appears a bit high for the Kolkata club.
Under the guidance of Coach Biswajit Bhattacharya, the club begins their practice for the upcoming session from tomorrow. The practice is scheduled to start with 25-26 players at their club ground, though the foreigners are yet to arrive in the city.
This year the club has recruited some good footballers as they are desperate to give a fierce competition to their city rivals, namely Mohun Bagan and East Bengal.
However on the other hand, fellow Kolkata giants East Bengal has started their planning on Charles, brendon Fernanades and Churchill striker Seriton Fernandes.
