Internet Desk: With ODI skipper Upul Tharanga receiving a two match ban from the ICC for slow over rate during the second match against India, Sri Lanka had called up Test skipper Dinesh Chandimal and star batsman Lahiru Thirimanne. Middle-order batsman Chamara Kapugedara will lead the hosts in the absence of Tharanga, stated the Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC) in a media-release.

The Match Referre Andy Pycroft found Sri Lanka were three overs short. Tharanga was previously banned for two games in the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 for the same offence during their opening match against South Africa.

The Lankans will also miss the services of Danushka Gunathilaka who hurt his shoulder while fielding. It is highly unlikely that he will feature in the next two games, while Thirimanne will open the batting and Chandimal will take the crease at No. 4.

Sri Lanka trails the five match ODI series by 0-2.
