Kolkata: Former India captain Sourav Ganguly is all set to make a comeback in the commentary box, starting with the forthcoming ICC Champions Trophy in June in England. The last time Sourav was seen in commentary box was during the ICC Cricket World Cup in Australia in 2005. It will be almost a gap of 2 years that Sourav will be making a comeback in commentary box.

Sunset and Vine, the global UK based production company, who has the rights for the world feed for ICC events has signed Sourav to do commentary for the global event in England. Given his immense popularity in UK and all across, S&V has signed Sourav. In fact the last time when India won the ICC Champions Trophy in England during 2013, Sourav was in the commentary team. Dhoni and his team lifted the Champions Trophy defeating the hosts England in the rain-curtailed final at Edgbaston in Birmingham.

Confirming the news to xtratime.in, the Cricket Association of Bengal President said, “Yes, I will be doing commentary during the Champions Trophy. Last time I did commentary was during the ICC World Cup in Australia in 2015.”

With Sourav making a comeback in the commentary box, it will definitely add more glamour for the host broadcasters Star Sports.
