Internet Desk: Mohun Bagan to play Mumbai FC tomorrow at the Cooperage Stadium to regain the momentum which they partly lost against arch rivals Kingfisher East Bengal a couple of days back at Siliguri in the Kolkata derby. The Green and Maroon brigade is in a bit of concern as their star foreigner Sony Norde is still struggling with an injury and was taken to famous orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Anant Joshi and is uncertain for tomorrow’s highly important game against Santosh Kashyap’s team.

Bagan coach Sanjoy Sen too, is very much focused about the game for different reasons. He said, “I have already told my boys that the competition level is very much high at the moment in the points table. We should not allow any hiccups right now.” A win tomorrow will lead the Mariners level on points with East Bengal on top.

On the flip side, Mumbai FC will be playing with all four foreigners for the first time in the league. That comprises the newly joined Afghan defender Djelaludin and two Brazilian forwards Alex and Anderson. Coach Santosh Kashyap told www.xtratime.in , “All the matches are now like championship matches for us and we need three points at any cost.” The flamboyant tactician also said, “We now have four quality foreigners in the side to bolster the squad. But Mohun Bagan is a top side and we need to play out of our skins tomorrow for keeping our chances alive.” The Mumbai outfit will be missing four Indian players Kimkima, Steven Dias, Victorino Fernandes and Pratesh Shirodkar tomorrow because of injuries.

Sanjoy Sen too seemed circumspect about their next hurdle as he said, “I remember the small ground came as an obstacle for us in the last couple of times when we played here in the last two seasons. But we have to do whatever we need to do to grab three points.”

Mohun Bagan to miss only their U22 player Subhasish Bose because of an injury and that might force the Bagan coach to bring the exciting Reynier Fernandes in the side.
