Internet Desk: After a morale-boosting 2-1 victory over Kingfisher East Bengal, Sanjoy Sen’s Mohun Bagan are now the outright favourites to clinch their second Hero I-League title. The Mariners will play Shillong Lajong at the hill city tomorrow in the afternoon. Coach Sanjoy Sen, who has been the instrumental figure behind Mohun Bagan’s terrific performance said to www.xtratime.in , “This match would be tougher than the Kolkata derby.” The Bagan coach believes that the league title is not yet secured and this match would be immensely important for their hunt for the second league title.

The Green and Maroon brigade reached Shillong the last night and trained today at the match venue from 10am to 11 am in the morning. Sanjoy said, “I have no significance of a derby win if we cannot go on and win the title. Derby might be important for the fans, but my focus has always been the trophy.”

Mohun Bagan will be wary of the Lajong forward Dipanda Dicka who has been the top goalscorer of this season with 9 goals. Lajong too would be upbeat after their remarkable win against DSK Shivajians on Saturday. The important thing for the Mariners is that they don’t have any injury worries before the tie. The hills have always created troubles for the Kolkata teams in the past and that is why the Bagan coach is a bit circumspect on his approach.

The recent form of the players like Sony Norde and Azharuddin Mullick will no doubt be a big psychological boost for the Green and Maroon  brigade.
