The loss to Lazio gave league leaders Juventus an advantage as the club from Turin now has a 4 points difference on top. Juventus are leading the Serie E points table with 66 points from 27 games while Lazio are second with 62 points.
A Meijers (38’), R Malinovsky (66′) and J Palomino (80′) scored for the home side while M de Roon (5′ own goal) and S Milinkovic-Savic (11’) reduced the margin for Lazio. The win took Atalanta to 54 points, four points clear of thirds placed Inter Milan who on Wednesday drew 3-3 with Sassuolo at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium.
