Internet Desk: Indian badminton sensation Saina Nehwal faced abusive comments for posting an image of herself with her brand new smart phone. Saina posted that picture on a social media with caption,”My new Honor 8 phone love the phone and the colour.”
Many of her admirers started calling her an ‘anti-national’ for outwardly promoting a Chinese phone brand.
“Saina please don’t promote bloody Chinese goods. We have lot of respect for you. Please leave those bloody Chinese goods,” commented a follower on her post. “I am your big fan, but if you say buy China product am not. I will protest against it,” followed another one.
Many of her followers have also supported Saina regarding this issue.
“Saina u go with your mind and go ahead, congrats for the new phone, some people are still poor by mind. And guys don’t forget she make our country proud in Badminton.God bless u Saina,” commented a fan.
“It is really unfortunate that people are mocking her for this post. Guys, get a life. She’s as much patriot as me and you. She’s made India proud. These comments are disheartening,” another fan wrote on social media.
Earlier this year, Saina was declared as Huawei’s sub-brand Honor’s India brand ambassador that explains the primary reason behind her putting up such post.
