The Kolkata giants have been in talks with Romeo for quite some time. The addition of Romeo will add more options to East Bengal coach Trevor James Morgan. The attacking midfielder first burst into the scene after he scored three goals and two assists during his 11 appearances for FC Goa in the inaugural season of ISL. The performance earned him the Hero emerging player of the tournament.  The 24 year old midfielder joined Brazilian side Atlético Paranaense on loan, thus becoming the first Indian ever to play for a Brazilian club. Fernandes so far had 37 appearances in ISL for FC Goa wherein he scored 6 goals. Meanwhile Sony Norde and Jeje Lalpekhlua will join practice for Mohun Bagan from the first week of January next year. Both footballers are now spending times with their families. Norde’s wife is expecting a baby, so he has requested the club management to allow him to stay beside her. He is expected to arrive in Kolkata on January 02. Mohun Bagan coach Sanjay Sen will start his practice from next week. Bagan’s new recruit Anas Edathodika has been asked to join the club practice quickly. The gaffer will start his practice session with Arnab Das Sharma, Azharuddin Mullick, Sarthak Golui and Balwant Singh. Most of the footballers who played for different franchises will join the club practice from first week of January. Indian Super League’s emerging player of the year Jerry Lalrinzuala has been signed by DSK Shivajians. The Pune based club has also signed Sanju Pradhan from FC Pune City. A product of the AIFF Elite Academy, Lalrinzuala was part of a select group of five players who had gone to FC Metz's Academy in France in May for a developmental stint. On his return, he made 13 appearances for Chennaiyin FC as one of the youngest ever players to play in the ISL. A vital cog in the Indian youth set-up, Jerry has been part of every age group national side from the Under-14 all the way up to the Under-19 level.
