Rishabh Pant attends Delhi Capitals camp in Kolkata, to play practice game on Friday

Xtra Time Web Desk: In what comes as good news for Delhi Capitals fans ahead of IPL next season, Rishabh Pant attended the four-day camp being organized by the franchise in Kolkata. Pant was in white tee and black shorts. He is on way to recovery since the horrific car accident towards the end of last year. The dashing left hander was seen meeting his DC teammates like Manish Pandey, Khaleel Ahmed, Mukesh Kumar, Chetan Sakariya to name a few. Among the overseas cricketers only Rilee Rossouw is in Kolkata.

Pant was also seen spending time with Head Coach Ricky Ponting and Director of Cricket Sourav Ganguly. The left hander is likely going to be involved in a practice game against a Bengal side to be played tomorrow at the Jadavpur University campus.

Rishabh last played a competitive game during India’s tour of Bangladesh in December 2022. It is speculated that he can make his return to international cricket from the series against England starting in January at home. But for him to be eligible for selection he must prove his match fitness by playing a few domestic games.

Pant faced a horrific car accident when his car collided with a driver on National Highway 58 and caught fire. He was lucky to escape. After undergoing surgery, he went to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru for his rehabilitation. In June this year, he started to walk without crutches and climb stairs without any support. In August, Rishabh Pant was also seen facing a few balls during a local match in Bengaluru. He recently visited Uttarakhand along with Axar Patel.
