Internet Desk: Usain Bolt met the expectations of his fans. Today he reached the semi-final of 100m run. He will be up for the semi-final run yesterday.

Today Bolt remained far from his best run. It was seemed that he ran only to qualify for the next level. He made the timing today 10.07s.

The Jamaican today became forth among all the sprinters. Justin Gatlin of USA who is considered as the biggest competitor of Bolt, also timed ahead of him. So this will be a matter to worry for the 100m world record holder.

“It wasn’t the best start, it felt kind of sluggish,” said Bolt, who was running just after noon on Saturday in Rio, to the Associated Press. “I’m not used to running this early in the morning in any championships.”

Justin Gatlin who came first in heat clocked 10.01 seconds.

“It felt good—in control,” Gatlin said to NBC’s Lewis Johnson. “Coach told me to go out there, control the race from the beginning, stay tall to the end and just get ready for the next day.”
