Revealed: Amrinder’s destination confirmed by the ISL franchise

Internet Desk: Star Goal-keeper Amrinder Singh will again play for Mumbai City FC in the fourth edition of Indian Super League (ISL). Mumbai chose to retain him with a record amount. The Punjabi goalie played six matches for the side last year and kept three clean sheets.

Amrinder bagged the Golden Glove award last year in ISL. He was the skipper of the Indian football team at the AFC U-23 Championships which was held in Bangladesh last year.

Amrinder Singh said: “I’m very happy to be back. Last season with the club was great. We finished top of the table. I’m back to complete the job and give fans a reason to celebrate.”

He was a part of I-League based outfit Bengaluru FC in the last I-League and then he was loaned to MCFC.

Ranbir Kapoor, Team owner, Mumbai City FC said, “We are all gearing up in the best way possible for the next season of the Indian Super League and we are extremely glad to have Amrinder back for us this season.”

Atletico de Kolkata took him on loan for one season for ISL.

Alexandre Guimaraes is closing on terms to be retained for another season by Mumbai City FC.  Antonio López Habas too seems likely to be retained by FC Pune City.
