Xtra Time Web Desk: Unthinkable incidents have unfolded one after another in the Tamil Nadu Premier League. Recently, a record was set with a single ball resulting in 18 runs scored in this tournament. Now, a remarkable event of taking the same ball for review twice has sparked controversy in the Indian cricket arena. This incident took place during the Dindigul Dragons vs Ba11sy Trichy match.

Ravichandran Ashwin, an experienced spinner from India, bowled what seemed to be a “caught behind” to R Rajkumar, and the umpire gave him out. Rajkumar then opted for the Decision Review System (DRS) assistance. Upon reviewing the footage, the third umpire found it to overturn the decision.

Despite the third umpire’s verdict, Ashwin immediately applied for another review. Nevertheless, even after Ashwin’s review, the third umpire once again declared it as not out.

Regarding the second review, Ashwin stated after the match, “DRS is new in the tournament. There was a spike just before the ball passed the bat. I was not quite happy, I thought they’d see with a different angle.”
