File Picture[/caption] Internet Desk : The paralympic medallists  from India will get the same treatment as per the other Olympic medal winners  and honored with the prestigious Khel Ratna next year, according to Sports Minister Vijay Goel. "All the paralympic medallists will be treated at par with other Olympic medallists. They will also be getting Khel Ratna," said Goel while visiting the Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy. He added , “The Government is determined to give a new direction to sports and we will put in place long-term action plan very soon,” Goel said about the general review the Sports Ministry made after the Rio Olympics. “We are making an in depth study of the report and making a serious introspection on the post-Rio Olympics scenario,” said the Minister. “We are thankful to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for all the support being extended to the Sports Ministry,” he added in the event. Regarding the last few Paralympic games India sent its largest contingent ever in the Rio Paralympics this year, with 19 athletes, and four of them have brought great honor to India, winning medals. Both Devendra Jhajharia and Mariyappan Thangavelu won gold, while Deepak Malik and Varun Singh Bhati won silver and bronze, respectively and made us proud.
