Xtra Time Web Desk : Mumbai City FC on Monday achieved a historic feat as they defeated Iraq's Al Quwa Al Jawiya, popularly known as Air Force club in the AFC Champions League by a margin of 2-1, courtesy of goals from Diego Mauricio and Rahul Bheke.

It wasn't an even stevens match from the start, as the Iraqi champions were the favourites to win the much coveted clash.

And as per expectations, the Air Force club went ahead on the hour mark by a goal from Ahmad, which then triggered Mumbai City FC to bounce back into the game, courtesy of some brilliant football from the Islanders.

It was Diego Mauricio, who then equalised for the Indian club, courtesy of a superbly taken penalty from the Brazilian, before full back Rahul Bheke scored on the 75th minute to hand over Mumbai that elusive first win in the AFC Champions League.

Also, the victory by Des Buckingham is first ever victory for any Indian club in the AFC Champions League.
