Mohammed Shami met with BCCI’s Anti-Corruption unit. What will happen next?

Kolkata: Mohammed Shami and his wife Hasin Jahan’s bitter feud getting deeper with every passing day. Hasin alleged Shami in a serious match- fixing scam and his entire cricketing career is in doubt as Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) held renewing his contract until the entire issue gets solved.

BCCI also asked the Anti- Corruption and Security Unit to submit a report within seven days. Shami meet BCCI’s ACSU chief Neeraj Kumar today in Delhi and presented his version about the case.

Shami, on the other hand, has said “I would rather die than do something like this (match-fixing).”

“The entire episode is disturbing. I don’t know what she is up to. She needs to explain what has changed so much in these few days. She is suddenly leveling all these accusations on me. She is accusing of harassment. She is even accusing me of match-fixing. As far as the allegation of compromising my performance while playing for the country is concerned, I would rather die than do something like this,” Shami said.

His IPL franchise team Delhi Daredevils mailed BCCI to know the decision about the issue and about the availability of the Bengal speedster.

IPL 11, which starts from April 7. March 28 is the cut-off date to name a replacement for the Daredevils as it looks like Shami going to miss the season of IPL but, the decision yet to be taken. Shami was retained by DD in this year auction for Rs. 3 crore.
