The Chandigarh based club has already entered a tie-up with top clubs in Latin America and Europe. The tie up is basically for the purpose of exchange of knowledge, coaching up gradation and player exposure through exchange. Clubs include Atletico Paranaense of Brazil, English Premier League club Bolton Wanderers, England League Two club Accrington Stanley Football Club and Mauritius based Grand Bel Air FC. They have also entered a tie-up with Lancashire Football Association. The club has already roped in two foreigners Marcus Lopez and Kareem Omoloja. Guamese Lopez has the experience of playing in European and American Leagues. Nigerian Omoloja is no stranger to Indian football. The Nigerian midfielder has plied his trade with clubs like JCT, Royal Wahingdon, Lone Star Kashmir and Mohammedan Sporting to name from the many. Minerva has also signed former India and East Bengal striker Manandeep Singh, TFA defender Ramandeep Singh along with AIFF Elite academy footballers Moinuddin and Arshdeep Singh. The club had earlier entered a tie up with former Olympic Gold Medalist & World Champion Abhinav Bindra’s High Perfomance Training Centre for further all round development of its players. The vision of Minerva Punjab FC is to bring Chandigarh and its adjoining region into the football map of the country again. On the larger side, Minerva’s vision is to create an environment conducive for the growth and development of footballers in the region. Football fraternity of the country will eagerly wait to see whether Minerva Punjab FC can match the success of Bengaluru FC.
