Kolkata : A meeting will be held on 14th September , Wednesday regarding how many points Mohun Bagan will lose as they didn’t play in the derby against East Bengal by the Calcutta Football League Sub Committee. The League Sub Committee will see if the Mohun Bagan officials sent any mail that they won’t play on 7th September. If that happens, the committee may deduct 3 points from Bagan , but if they see the Mariners had only requested to change the fixture of the Derby they may raise the deduction to 5 Points.
On a note IFA Secretary Utpal Ganguly quoted that, “ I don’t know how many points would be deducted from Bagan, the decision of the League Sub Committee will be the final verdict .”
As of now, Bagan will play their last two match which were re-scheduled few days back. Regarding this change of fixtures, the Mohun Bagan officials angrily stated to the media,“ If these last two games can be re-scheduled then why not the Kolkata Derby!”.
