Internet Desk: Another big day in Indian football as Indian football team is all set to take on Kyrgyz Republic, a team which is ranked 32 places below them but India coach Constantine believes the result will not have anything to do with FIFA rankings of both countries.

“I would say not worth the paper. I think the rankings are there for a reason. Many variables which determine the rankings. Whether we are 32 above or below will not decide the outcome but by who wants it more and how hard. Rankings are there but in these games, there are on paper.”

According to Constantine, India are ready for the physical battle that awaits them on Tuesday and are hungry to register a win at home.

“If it is a battle of stamina, we are very physical and quite strong. We are a fit, hardworking team. They will be difficult to break down, they will think they can win. We are in India and need to do everything we have to take the three points.”

Talismanic striker Sunil Chhetri who has already scored 53 goals in 93 International outings donning the National Colour said the vibes in the team are very positive at the moment.

“It’s been a while since we feel so positive approaching a game. Winning a game is always good for you. You’ll always feel positive when you’re winning. Puerto Rico, Nepal — trust me, not a single game was easy for us. By God’s grace, going out and winning is tough but it instils positivity within you,” he said at the official pre-match Media Interaction ahead of India’s AFC Asian Cup Qualifier against the Kyrgyz Republic.

But also he sounded cautious. “We can’t afford to be complacent at this moment. One moment of he slip-up and everything will be ruined. We are churning out results- we’re pride to take the results and get the clean sheets.”

“There was a tough time for us but we believed in ourselves. Now the table has turned and we’re getting results. Last day, I was happy to sit in the stands to see the boys garnering a good win against Nepal. Getting out and winning every day is tough but thankfully, but we’re being able to do so,” he pronounced.

“We have a huge task to cut out tomorrow. We know, they’re a strong side but we’re here to give everything we have to win the tie.”
