Kolkata : The third season of Hero ISL will start from 1st of October. Before that Atletico De Kolkata co-owner Sourav Ganguly met with the press in a promotional event today.
A question was asked by the media that from the next season the two Kolkata giants East Bengal & Mohun Bagan may join the Hero ISL, what will happen to the ATK’s fan base , Sourav stated ,”Last year during the semi-fanls against Chennaiyin FC, 75000 fans came to YBK to cheer for ATK.” He added , “Atletico de Kolkata have their own fan base and if any other team comes from Kolkata in the ISL, we’ll see then.”
Regarding a question that Sharukh Khan’s Red Chillis entertainment may sponsor Kolkata giant Mouhun Bagan if they perticipate in Hero ISL from the next season , Sourav quoted ,”I know Shahrukh always has interest in sports, if he buys a team in ISL it would be great for football, my gratitude is always with him.”
Regarding India vs New Zealand upcoming test series he stated, “India is a much better side in home than New Zealand, Indian spinners are far better than the other spinners and the Indian batting line up knows how to play spin, so India has a big advantage against New Zealand .” He added,” Virat Kohli will rule the Indian Cricket as well as the World Cricket in next ten years or so.”
In that promotional event the company stated,”Sourav Ganguly and a few other renowned cricketers will select ten distressed talented young cricketers and the company will sponsor them for their studies and daily living.”
