Xtra Time Web Desk : It was yet another poor night for SC East Bengal in this season’s Indian Super League as Renedy Singh’s team lost to Jamshedpur FC by a 1-0 margin, courtesy of a late, late goal from Ishan Pandita.

The Torchbearers fielded an all Indian starting eleven on field today against Jamshedpur as Renedy Singh’s boys put up a steady start to the match. Although Jamshedpur had the advantage in ball possession but could not create clear enough chances to get ahead in the first half. East Bengal on the other hand were also dull to a certain extent but kept a clean sheet up unitl the first half.

But in the second half, things started to change as Owen Coyle’s team started on pressing more and more but were however denied on the 52nd minute by the post when Jordan Murray’s header came back of the woodwork. And after a few minutes of play it was disappointment for the Red and Gold fans as Adil Khan got hamstrung and was eventually substituted for Darren Sidoel. Coyle’s side however kept on pushing after that and was finally successful on the 88th minute mark when substitute Ishan Pandita scored from a last ditch effort to put his team in front with a strike that proved to be decisive.

SC East as a result of this match remain winless and stays at the bottom of the league table with 6 points in 11 matches.
