Quinton de Kock’s wife, Sasha de Kock, captured the electrifying atmosphere on her Instagram story, revealing that Dhoni’s entry caused such a roar from the crowd that it triggered a noise warning on her smartwatch, hitting a whopping 95 decibels.

The warning highlighted the potential risk of temporary hearing loss due to prolonged exposure to such high noise levels. Despite the alert, the stadium buzzed with anticipation as Dhoni, batting at No.8, showcased his signature aggressive style, scoring an unbeaten 28 runs off just 9 balls, including 3 boundaries and 2 sixes.

Dhoni’s impressive form throughout the season continued as he maintained an undefeated streak, accumulating 87 runs with a remarkable strike rate above 255. However, despite his heroic efforts, CSK fell short as LSG secured a comfortable victory, credit goes to LSG skipper KL Rahul’s swift 82 off 53 balls and contributions from Quinton de Kock, Marcus Stoinis, and Nicholas Pooran.

Although CSK retains third place in the IPL 2024 points table with 8 points, LSG’s win propels them to fifth place, setting the stage for a rematch at Chepauk on April 23.
