The new recruits, N Jagadeesan, R Sai Kishore, C Hari Nishaanth, and Harishankar Reddy, were all present at the training.

The Yellow Army has a lot to prove this season after their dismal performance in last edition, failing to make it to the play offs for the first time. The MS Dhoni led franchise finished second from last.

Dhoni will once again be at the helm, leading the second most successful franchise in the history of IPL. He did not enjoy a good season with the bat in the last edition so he will be more than eager to prove a point that he still has a lot of cricket left in him.

According to the news agency PTI, the sessions began after all the players and staff cleared their RT-PCT rests during the stipulated quarantine period.

Apart from Dhoni, several other key players including Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ambati Rayudu were seen at the nets. The new recruits, N Jagadeesan, R Sai Kishore, C Hari Nishaanth, and Harishankar Reddy, were all present at the training. The remaining cricketers will join the squad very soon.

The 2021 Indian Premier League season is set to kick off from April 9.
