On Wednesday night at Arun Jaitley stadium Dhoni’s men from Chennai again proved why they are one of the successful franchise of Indian Premier League. Chennai notched up their fifth straight win in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2021 Indian T-20 League). Hyderabad was beaten by 7 Wickets by men in yellow.

Hyderabad batted first but their captain David Warner’s rather ‘confused’ innings costed them atleast 15-20 runs in the total which ultimately proved decisive. Warner scored 57 runs from 55 balls it was very much unlike Warner innings. Apart from him Manish Pandey came back to form as he scored well crafted 61 runs from just 46 balls. Kane Williamson’s cameo of 26 runs from just 10 balls helped Hyderabad reach 171 runs for rhe loss of 3 Wickets from their 20 overs.

Chasing 172 runs to win Chennai openers started their innings off in flying style. Both Ruturaj and Du Plessis was in attacking best. Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 75 runs from just 44 balls while Faf du Plessis scored 56 runs from 38 runs stiching together a partnership of 129 runs for the first Wicket. This set up an easy victory for Chennai. Ravindra Jadeja and Suresh Raina then ensured a comfortable 7 Wicket win for Chennai.
