XtraTime Web Desk: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Captain Virat Kohli on Thursday received a double blow in the match against Kings XI Punjab at Dubai International Stadium. Not only did the star studded Bangalore franchise found themselves embarrassed by KL Rahul led KXIP by 97 runs, their captain was fined for maintaining a slow over-rate during the match. Kohli was fined INR 12 lakhs for violating IPL’s code of conduct relating to minimum over rate offences.

It was a tough-tough night for the RCB captain. He dropped catches, looked completely lost on the field, did not score anything and his team lost by embarrassing 97 runs.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore bowlers took 1 hour 51 minutes to finish their quota of 20 overs. Since this was RCB’s first offence of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences, Kohli was only fined.
