IPL 2020: Sunrisers Hyderabad beat RCB by 5 wickets and moved to the fourth place in the table

Another loss for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL made their road to the playoffs very difficult while with a win, Sunrisers are now in a very comfortable position in the points table.

David Warner on Saturday won the toss and decided that his team will bowl first at Sharjah. Right from the start, RCB wasn’t very comfortable and was losing wickets in quick intervals. Josh Philippe and AB De Villiers build up a small 43 runs partnership which ended when ABD was dismissed on 24. Later, Philippe lost his wicket on 32. RCB struggled a lot and reached to a total of 120 runs after 20 overs.

It seemed easy for Sunrisers Hyderabad but RCB bowlers gave their all. Wriddhiman Saha scored 39 runs of 32 balls while Manish Pandey scored 26 of 19 deliveries. When things were looking to get tough for SRH, Jason Holder smashed the ball for 3 sixes and a four. With 26 runs in just 10 balls, Holder won the match for Sunrisers by 5 wickets.

With this win, Hyderabad is now on 4th place in the points table. Interestingly, they are only team on 12 points with a positive net run-rate.

Even after 13th round of this year’s Indian Premier League, only one team is qualified for playoffs as of now and 6 teams are in contention to take the other three places. Hence, IPL is again proving why it’s called the best cricketing league in the world!
