IPL 2020: Delhi Capitals dealt a bowl as seasoned campaigner Amit Mishra ruled out for entire season

XtraTime Web Desk: It was a day of casualties in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) as both Delhi Capitals leg spinner Amit Mishra and Sunrisers Hyderabad medium pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar was ruled out due to injuries. Veteran leg spinner Amit Mishra was a vital cog in Delhi Capital’s side. His absence definitely will be a telling blow for the DC side led by Shreyas Iyer. Mishra injured his finger while trying to grab a low return catch off Shubman Gill during the match against KKR on Saturday.

The injury took a toll as the experienced leg spinner wasn’t able to finish his over.

It is learnt that the Delhi Capitals management will be looking for a replacement for Mishra who was the highest wicket taker in the cash rich league. He had taken 160 wickets in 150 IPL matches so far. According to the DC management, Mishra suffered a tendon injury and was ruled out of the season.

The Haryana born leg spinner looked in rhythm in IPL 2020. He will definitely be missed in the game against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday. RCB is stacked with big power hitters and it would have been an intriguing battle between the leg spinner and RCB batsmen. Left arm spinner Axar Patel is likely to replace Amit Mishra for the match against RCB which will be played at the Dubai International Stadium.
