XtraTime Web Desk:
Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja on Wednesday revealed how he prepares himself ahead of a match. The left-arm spinner had an all-round show (25 runs off 10 balls and 3 wickets) to give Chennai an emphatic 80 runs win over the Capitals at Chepauk on Wednesday.

“I visualize the situation that may arise in a match and practice at the nets accordingly so that I can do well in crucial times,” said Jadeja to his teammate Mohit Sharma after the match.
On being asked what was the discussion with MS Dhoni in the middle. The duo put 77 runs off just 5 overs to post a daunting total of 179/4.

“Mahi bhai (MS Dhoni) always keeps guiding me on areas to hit. He keeps telling me where the bowlers can bowl, guides me about the field placements, which side of the boundary is shorter. That was the communication which was going on between us,” said Jadeja.

Talking about his towering sixes (he hit two of those that landed in the stands) Sir Jadeja said, “You need power in your body. I am hitting the ball well during practice and so it is paying off in the matches.”

The left-arm spinner was also successful with the ball picking three wickets in the match while giving away just 9 runs. He first got rid of Colin Ingram, getting him plumbed in front of the wicket. He soon followed it up with the wicket of Chris Morris, stumped by Dhoni. But the best wicket was the one which foxed Shreyas Iyer, getting the Delhi Capitals captain stumped.

Talking about his plans while bowling, Jadeja said, “When I first came to bowl it was turning a bit. So I thought of keeping it stumps to stumps as it gets difficult for the batsman to hit.We bowled at the right areas. Immy bhai (Imran Tahir) and Bhajju pa (Harbhajan Singh). So according to me the key was to bowl at the stumps.”
