XtraTime Web Desk: Former India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is well known for his contribution in Indian cricket both as a wicket-keeper and batsman. The veteran cricketer’s unconventional but effective glove work behind the wicket is a great thing that can be learnt by the youngsters. Ishan Kishan who is playing really well for Mumbai Indians in this year’s Indian Premier League was seen taking some valuable advises from Mahi during an IPL game between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians in Pune last night. Ishan, who plays from MS Dhoni’s state Jharkhand is making a mark with his skills as a wicket-keeper and a number 3 batsman in this year’s IPL. In a recent interview the former India U19 skipper thanked Dhoni for helping him to grow as a cricketer.

“Dhoni bhai saw me at the nets and walked up to me and said that I needed to curtail my attacking instincts to begin with. He believed that to play a long innings I needed to be a little more compact and I did just that. He asked me to change my stance as well and when it comes from someone like Dhoni bhai, you know you can trust his observation.”

Last night Mumbai Indians registered their second win of the season as they beat table-topper Chennai Super Kings by 8 wickets thanks to brilliant knocks from skipper Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav and Evin Lewis. CSK, batting first, scored 169 with Dhoni scoring 26 runs.
