East Bengal to face ISL side Jamshedpur FC in a warm-up match.

Kolkata: Good news for all the East Bengal fans as their newly signed foreigner Bazie has been cleared fully fit today. During their practice session on Monday he was seen limping off the ground, but he joined the team today and looked fully fit during the Red & Gold practice session.

Khalid Jamil Brigade will leave Kolkata tomorrow morning for Jamshedpur where they will face Indian Super League’s newly formed franchise Jamshedpur FC in a single practice game. The match will take place at Jamshedpur on November 10. All eyes will be on veteran midfielder Mehtab Hossain in this match as he will face his former team. The Red & Gold Brigade had already played 4 warm-up matches against ISL clubs. In two practice matches against Bengaluru FC they drew one and lost one. They played well FC Pune City but lost the game 2-1 and in their last practice match against FC Goa they finally registered a win by 2-1. The team will travel to Jamshedpur by bus and the team managers would be Manoranjan Bhattacharya and Alvito d’Cunha.

The Red & Gold Brigade conceded a lot of goals against the ISL sides in the practice matches. Ahead of that coach Khalid Jamil had a conversation with the senior footballers like Gurwinder Singh, Arnab Mondal and other foreigners to talk about this matter. It was also seen during the practice session that Khalid is keeping his main focus on the team’s defensive organization.

East Bengal’s star Mizo forward Brandon Vanlalremdika thinks that the practice matches against the ISL teams would help the side to play well in the I-League.” We are a pretty new team, different players have joined the team this season. It’s a great experience for us and in future we hope capitalize on that experience to play as a team.

On being asked about the team’s preparation before facing Jamshedpur FC, Brendon added,” All of us are preparing well for the match, so we are hoping for a positive result.
