India’s star golfer SSP Chowrasia found COVID-19 positive

Kolkata: India’s star golfer SSP Chowrasia is found COVID-19 positive. He was scheduled to leave for England on Sunday to take part in a tournament at Wales. Ahead of that Chowrasia did a COVID-19 test and the result came positive. After that Chowrasia’s wife too has done a COVID test of her and she is waiting for the result.

On being asked about the matter, Chowrasia said,” I was ready to travel to England this week, ahead of that a friend of mine suggested me to do a COVID-19 test. I have found that I am affected with the deadly virus and that’s why I am in isolation right now.” To take part in a tournament at Wales, Chowrasia was doing his training in a practice range during the lockdown. Chowrasia thinks this was the reason why he was affected by the deadly virus.” You know that currently all the gyms are closed due to lockdown. I needed to practice in the ground else I would have fall behind and that’s why I did my training. Currently I am suffering from fever, but it’s nothing serious. The doctor have advised me to stay in home quarantine for next two weeks,” added Chowrasia.

He was scheduled to take part in the European Tour this month and later in Asian Tour as well. On being asked whether he will return to the golf course after becoming fully fit, Chowrasia didn’t give any positive answer.”I have listened that people become very weak after they get affected by COVID-19 and that’s why I don’t want to say anything about my future plans. I must become fully fit at first, then I will think about my return in the golf course,” concluded Chowrasia.
