XtraTime Web Desk: The CCL Cup T 20 tournament was a 3 match series between India and Nepal physically disabled Cricket teams. The tournament was held in Ranchi, Jharkhand from 21st February to 23rd February. This was organized by the Disabled Sporting Society in association with Jharkhand Disabled Cricket Association.

India won the series with a score of 3-0. The first match was won by 8 wickets. The second match was won by 9 wickets. The third match was won by 142 runs.
Notable mentions for excellent playing from the Indian Team are Suvro Joarder, Mukesh Kanchan,Bipul Sengupta, Kailash Prasad, Jeet Bhowmick.
There were players from the Nepal team who made a mark, namely Ram Adhikari and a few others.
Even though they were playing their Inaugural series against India, they did make a mark as far as the international arena of physically disabled Cricket is concerned.
The most highlighted moment was in the last match when Suvro Joarder’s maiden T-20 Century which is also the first ever Century in physically disabled Cricket in the history of India was made. He scored 105(unbeaten) with 73 balls including 15 fours.
Suvro Joarder was awarded with the Man of the Match of the Third match. He was also awarded with the Best Batsman as well as the Man of the Series for his 130 unbeaten runs in 2 innings of the series. Along with him, Bipul Sengupta was awarded with the Best Bowler.
After Suvro’s century, Mr. Haroon Rasheed, the General Secretary of the Disabled Sporting Society said this first ever century will be carved in golden letters in the history of Physically challenged Cricket and that he was very lucky to have Suvro Joarder in the Indian Team as an opening Batsman. CCL’s Managing Director Mr. Mohapatra said that he felt very lucky to see an innings of such stature live.
This win was an extremely needed boost for the Indian Team after their recent loss to the Bangladesh Team in the Maitree Cup, 2017, said Suvro. When asked about his historical innings, he said that it was an extremely proud moment firstly because he was representing India, and it also has a huge impact on his confidence if his contributions help in the winning of his team.
