Xtra Time Web Desk: The second batch of Indian test squad including Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer along with Head Coach Rahul Dravid left for UK on Monday morning. They left for London from Bengaluru after the completion of the T20I series against Proteas. The entire test squad will travel to Leicester where they will play a four day warm up match against Select County XI starting from June 24.

KL Rahul who was supposed to leave with the second batch has been ruled out of the England tour with a groin injury. He will instead leave for Germany to undergo treatment for the nagging problem.

Mayank Agarwal will not travel to England as was reported earlier. Team India Head Coach Rahul Dravid made it clear last night that there is no need of a replacement for injured KL Rahul. With Shubman Gill already part of the squad along with Hanuma Vihari, the team management doesn’t see it as a requirement to add him to the main squad.

In another development the BCCI has decided to give the Ireland-bound Indian T20 squad, led by Hardik Pandya, a three-day break. Instead of June 22. The team will now leave for Dublin on June 24 from Mumbai for the two-match T20I series in Malahide.
