Dinesh Karthik tweeted a weather update from the Ageas Bowl on Saturday morning.

Xtra Time Web Desk: Good news for Indian fans as the weather in Southampton looks a lot more promising to start the play on second day for the much awaited ICC World Test Championship Final at the Ageas Bowl. The first days play in the WTC Final between India and New Zealand was totally washed out after persistent rains. India cricketer Dinesh Karthik shared an important update from Ageas Bowl which should brighten up the spirits of Indian fans. Karthik, who is now in UK on commentary assignment tweeted a picture of Ageas Bowl with sun shine with a caption, "Waking up to the sun."

There were no covers on the outfield assuming it would have fairly dried up. Following incessant rain in Southampton since Thursday, the outfield was water logged. Even the Super Sopper failed to get the ground in condition. But thankfully, Saturday promises to be different experience altogether.

The first half of the day looks good, with sun and clouds playing hide and seek, and although initially there were chances of rain in the afternoon session as well, those have been replaced with better forecasts. However, the evening session is where things can turn a bit tricky. There could be the occasional passing shower but then again, it's not expected to be a lengthy spell.
