Xtra Time Web Desk: India will begin their campaign in the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup against South Africa on June 05 next year. Virat Kohli and his men will next meet reigning champions Australia on June 09. The Men in Blue will next take on New Zealand on June 13. The marquee match between India and Pakistan will be held on June 16 at Old Trafford in Manchester. India’s remaining group league fixtures are against Afghanistan (June 23), West Indies (June 27), England (June 30), Bangladesh (July 02) and Sri Lanka (July 06) respectively.

At the International Cricket Council (ICC) Chief Executives Meeting held in Kolkata, it was proposed that the big-ticket clash will be in Manchester. The recommendation needs to be ratified by the ICC board which will take place on April 26.

In a bid to maintain the Lodha Committee recommendation, which says a mandatory 15-day gap is required between the Indian Premier League (IPL) final and any international match, the South Africa game was postponed by three days from June 2 to June 5.

The 2019 World Cup will be held in England and Wales from May 30 to July 14.
