Former Bagan striker Ansumana Kromah’s four day old baby girl needs blood

Xtra Time Web Desk: Former Mohun Bagan striker Ansumana Kromah is devastated with the event of things in Kolkata for last four nights. For the last few days the Liberian international has been roaming from one hospital to another in the city to get her new born baby girl admitted. Kromah’s wife pooja gave birth to a new born girl in a nursinghome in Shyambazar on Sunday.

The doctors suspect the new born may have jaundice. After being refused by two private hospitals in Mukundpur and EM Bypass, the baby got admitted in a nursing home on Park Street on Sunday. It is alleged that the nursing home in Shyambazar where the baby was born, also refused to admit the child again. According to the doctors the new born urgently needed blood transfusion as the jaundice has become stronger, threatening her life.

According to Kroma’s wife Pooja, “He (Kromah) is very broken. He has been roaming from one blood bank to another. They are not letting me stay with the baby fearing that she might get infected with coronavirus. She has been admitted in a nursing home in Park street.”
