Abinas Ruidas Kolkata: Abinas Ruidas has apparently asked for a release from the East Bengal club. Abinas reportedly submitted a letter to the club claiming due to the ongoing controversy he is finding it extremely difficult to concentrate on his game. Wanting to play in the ISL he also wrote that his parents too were disturbed about the ongoing debate. The truth of the above letter has been confirmed by East Bengal official Debabrata Sarkar who said. “Yes we received the letter from the Abinas”. On being further questioned about whether the player is to be released, Sarkar added, “We have just received the letter and are yet to read it. After examining we will take a decision.” On the other hand the 7 member committee has reached a verdict that Abinas’s situation will be handled by the Player Status committee and not by the IFA. As of now, the signature of the player will be examined by a handwriting expert tomorrow and it is expected that the result will be submitted to Federation the next day. The Federation too will inform the IFA about decision taken by the 7 member committee tomorrow. East Bengal had the three foreigners Mahmoud Al Amna, Wilis Plaza and Carlyle Deon Mitchell officially sign for the club at the IFA office. The new recruit of the Kolkata giant’s Salam Ranjan Singh who joined here from Bengaluru said, “I am ready for the challenge. It was my dream to play for East Bengal which is now fulfilled. I want to continue giving my good performances. Every player has a dream to play for the National team and I am immensely happy that I have been called up for the National squad as well.” The Auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan is also celebrated at the club, where small sisters tie Rakhis on the hands of the players. East Bengal will be playing a pre-season friendly match tomorrow at the club ground against Rainbow.
