FIFA to impose new rule that could stirr the transfer market : Report

Xtra Time Web Desk : Business around World football could be stirred by the significant new rule that FIFA are reportedly going enact within an year which could see football agents around the world not earning more than six percent of the transfer fees.


According to the Spanish news website Marca, FIFA are reportedly drafting a new rule which see Major agents around the world to earn not more than 6% of the transfer fees as their commission. The report also suggests that the supreme football governing body could put this rule in effect from 1st July, 2022 that would in turn make the clubs pay the total transfer fees along with the agent commission to the FIFA. The supreme governing body would then allocate the commission to the respective agents, acting as the intermediary.


Now, with the speculation of enactment of this significant FIFA rule, it would be interesting to see how major agents like Mino Raiola and the transfer market are affected by it. But one thing is certain that the footballing business won’t be the same.
