Abhijit: My family and coach Ashok Mondal came to the airport to receive me.

Abhijit: Yes. I knew that legendary footballer Carlos Puyol came to Delhi to launch the first ticket of U17 World Cup. But I didn’t know that FIFA had chosen to pay tribute to the year in which Indian football made history in 1911.

XT: Do you have any idea that how the venues are preparing themselves for the mega event?

Abhijit: I have just seen the pictures of Salt Lake stadium. But when I will play there I can understand how they have prepared the ground.

Abhijit: Everybody wants to play at their home ground. But Delhi too is our home and we will get massive support from there too.

XT: Tell us about your feeling about playing the World Cup at home.

Abhijit: We have many legendary footballers in our country. Bhaichung Bhutia, Sunil Chhetri are the big names of Indian football and we are lucky enough that among the 125 crore people we are getting the chance to represent our country.
