Suman  Chakravorty: Indian football legend TK Chathunni is all set to launch his autobiography on 2nd January, 2019 when he will turn 75 years old, the legend himself told www.xtratime.in

The former Mohun Bagan coach will be in Kolkata next month for a promotional tour of his autobiography “Football is my Soul”. The legend told www.xtratime.in , “I am writing this book as a tribute to this wonderful game which has made TK Chathunni who he is today. I have scripted all my life in this book.”

Chathunni also finalized the names who will launch his book. He said, “I have decided to invite IM Vijayan. Pappachan and Bruno Coutinho for the book launch.”

Chathunni seemed very much nostalgic about his days in Kolkata, as he was saying, “Kolkata and football are synonymous. There are so many memories. I used to go to the Kalighat Kaali Temple regularly when I was with my beloved Mohun Bagan club. I included all those special memories on this book.”

He seemed to be walked back to the down memory lane, as he said, “People say Odafa is the best box striker to have played in India, but I firmly believe that Chima was way too better. He was genuine match winner and impossible to stop when he is in form.I have recalled some special memories of Chima on my book which will help to establish that truth”.

The mantra to become a great coach too was mentioned in his much awaited book. In his words, “Mohun Bagan has been my first love. I became successful as a coach because on the field I was very strict. But off the field I used be a great friend for all my players. The book will reflect a few of those stories.”
