Xtra Time Web Desk: The Spanish squad for the European Championships was announced on May 24th, 2021, with manager Luis Enrique deciding to name just 24 players in spite of having the option of selecting up to 26 players. The squad also featured an interesting omission in the form of Sergio Ramos, with Spanish head coach Luis Enrique saying that he wanted to take Sergio Ramos but felt he couldn’t because of the defender’s lack of playing time in 2021. Enrique says he spoke to Ramos before making his decision. Thus decision notably means that there are now no Real Madrid players in the Spanish squad for the Euros.

Here is the full squad:

Goalkeepers: David De Gea, Unai Simon, Robert Sanchez.

Defenders: Aymeric Laporte, Jordi Alba, Jose Gaya, Pau Torres, Eric Garcia, Diego Llorente, Cesar Azpilicueta, Marcos Llorente.

Midfielders: Sergio Busquets, Rodri, Pedri, Thiago, Koke, Fabian.

Forwards: Dani Olmo, Mikel Oyarzabal, Alvaro Morata, Gerard Moreno, Ferran Torres, Adama Traore, Pablo Sarabia.
