East Bengal to face Chennai City FC in a very important encounter tomorrow in their second match of the ongoing Federation Cup 2017. After stumbling for a draw in the first match against Churchill Brothers, the Kolkata side is desperate to grab three points and ensure their race to go for the semis.

Assistant Coach Ranjan Chowdhury thinks that this match has become the most crucial game after the Red and Gold brigade drew their previous game. He told www.xtratime.in , “The team needs to focus well in the upcoming match and the players are ready to put their heart and soul to earn three points tomorrow.” Chennai City FC in their earlier game almost defeated the newly crowned I-league Champions after taking a 2-0 lead in the first half. But it was Aizawl FC who once again showed why they become champs when they turned the score line to a 3-2 in their favour.

“Chennai City FC is playing some great football at the current moment. They are a very tough opponent but we are also a formidable outfit. We are ready to face them”, said East Bengal coach to XtraTime. “Being a coach or a player or an official of East Bengal is a humongous job which is filled with extreme pressure. This kind of pressure is not experienced in other teams. But our players know how to handle these pressure situations and are ready to fight tomorrow” said Chowdhury.

In their previous game East Bengal had numerous amount of attempts, out of which 16 shots were on-target. But the team managed to score only once and that too from a solo effort of Wedson. The East Bengal coach who seeks positive approach from every situation said, “Creating chances is a good sign, only finishing has to be improved”, and as a result he is hopeful that his team will score goals tomorrow. Sudden lapse of concentration has been a major problem for East Bengal. The team was leading till the 77th minute and ultimately lost their lead from a late goal. But the coach is quite certain that the players will rectify their mistakes and will pull out their best performance in the field tomorrow.
