Durand Cup 2023: East Bengal’s probable schedule and venue dispute

Xtra Time Web Desk: The Durand Cup 2023 is scheduled to start on August 3. Before that, the probable schedule of matches involving the three main teams has been released. According to the leaked schedule, Mohun Bagan and East Bengal, two major clubs from Bengal, will be playing in the same group.

On August 6, East Bengal might face Bangladesh Services, and this match will be held at the Kishore Bharati Stadium. Then, on August 12, they will clash against their arch-rivals Mohun Bagan, which will take place at the Salt Lake Stadium, known as the Yuba Bharati Krirangan. On August 19, East Bengal will go head-to-head with RoundGlass Punjab, and this match is set to happen at the Mohun Bagan Ground.

However, the news reveals that East Bengal has expressed dissatisfaction with this probable schedule. They have applied to shift the match against Punjab from the Mohun Bagan Ground. There is a possibility that the match could be moved from the Mohun Bagan Ground despite being scheduled there.
