Internet Desk: Chennai City FC looks to be the front runner to get a direct entry in the forthcoming I League. According to sources, among the five teams that have submitted their bid documents, the club from Chennai has the best credentials. Another team Minnerva Club of Chandigarh also has a very bright chance of getting the nod of the All India Football Federation (AIFF).

The bid evaluation committee of the AIFF is presently having a meeting at the Football House in Delhi on Sunday. There were five teams who had submitted their bid documents to the parent body of Indian football. The teams include Chennai City Football Club, Minnerva Club, FC Bardez of Goa, Neroca FC and Sudeva FC.

Chennai City Football Club is owned by Rohit Ramesh and plays in the First Division of Chennai Football Association League. The club finished at the top position in the league. Recently the club released its theme song (Goal-Podu) composed by famous Bollywood music composer Vishal Dadlani and also features Tamil star Kashif.

The forthcoming Hero I-League is all set to start from January 07 next year.
