Xtra Time Web Desk: The Indian cricketers – both men and women reached safely to Southampton on Thursday. The entire Indian contingent travelled directly to the port city from London Heathrow. They will be going through a ‘managed isolation” during which everyone will be tested for COVID-19. The Indian team was welcomed to a pleasant sunny afternoon with clear blue skies.
The players did not waste an opportunity to post the picturesque view of the Ageas Bowl – the home of Hampshire county from the balcony of their hotel rooms. Leading the way was Team India opener Rohit Sharma who posted a picture of him along with Rishabh Pant with a caption, “We are in Southampton @RishabhPant17”
India wicket-keeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha also posted a couple of pics of the venue which will host the final of ICC World Test Championship against India starting from June 18. He tweeted the pics with a caption , “That’s our view from the room balcony..Your thoughts?”
Team India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah also shared a view of the ground with a caption, “ Hello Southampton!”
