Xtra Time Web Desk : South Africa's Test skipper Dean Elgar after their 2-0 series victory against Bangladesh on Monday, opened up to the media about the big named cricketers from his side who are currently playing in the ongoing Indian Premier League.

Making statements about cricketers like Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Rassie Van der Dussen and others in an explosive post match press conference, Elgar said, "Honestly, I don't think the statement of them coming back is a fair one. I think the guys that have played right now have made a massive statement with the few opportunities that they had. We've got a decent batting pool going forward now, but I can't speak whether those guys will be selected or not again. That's out of my hands,"

Speaking about the new players who stepped up on to the field in absence of the seniors, the southpaw said, "My message for the new guys coming in was to put the guys under pressure; to go out there and make a play for yourself and be a team player. Just put those players under pressure and make sure their selection is warranted. And that they shouldn't oversell their value as a new young cricketer in a new environment."

Earlier too, the cricketing wold had been divided by this nation vs franchise duel and this particular incident has now added yet another chapter to this controversy.
