Kolkata: The mouth-watering clash of the upcoming ICC World T20 between India and Pakistan which is scheduled to be held in Dharamshala may be removed due to security concerns. Eden Gardens of Kolkata and M.Chinwaswamy Stadium of Bengaluru are the top two contenders to host this mouth-watering clash.

Earlier, Himachal Pradesh Government had directly opposed in hosting the Indo-Pak tie as they won’t be able to provide the much needed security. The state Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh also quoted as saying, ” To pay tribute to the Pathankot victims the match should be moved to some other venue.”

Few days back an anti-terrorist group threatened to dig the pitch if the match is hosted.

Even, Home Minister Rajnath Singh also assured of paramilitary forces if Himachal Pradesh Government fails to provide the required security.

On Monday, a 3-member Pakistan security team visited  Dharamshala to check out the security measures. After they went back to Pakistan and submitted their report to the Government of Pakistan, the uncertainty over the high voltage match at Dharamshala became more specific.

Other than Eden Gardens, Chinwaswamy is also in the list to host the tie on the 19th of March.

CAB treasurer, Biswarup Dey quoted as saying, ” Eden deserves this match as the 2011 World Cup tie between Ind-Eng was removed from Eden at the very last moment. In this World Cup, we haven’t got a big match except a final. So we should get it otherwise we will fight for it. As its a clash of the titans, the demand for the tickets will be triple and according to the accomodation we have 60,000-70,000 capacity which no other stadium will be able to provide in India.”
