Kolkata: The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) called an emergency meeting on Monday to discuss what would be their response of the e-mail sent by The Supreme Court appointed Committee of Administrators(COA). After the meeting, CAB has decided that they will not follow the path of N Srinivasan regarding the implementation of Lodha reforms.

According to CAB they will send a letter to the Committee of Administrators by saying that the 40 men working committee of CAB are not the office bearers. They are working as invitee in the organization so nobody should question CAB’s constitution.

After the meeting CAB President Sourav Ganguly met with the press. He said, ”Our working committee is not the office bearers. It is also said in the FAQ, if there is no post of an office bearer in the constitution of any particular Association, the working committee will not be adjudged as the office bearers. We will not file any petition to the court and will answer to the COA’s letter before March 1.”

Earlier CAB removed their three top officials former treasurer Biswaroop Dey, former vice-president Amiyo Addi and former Assistant Secretary Biswantah Samanta to implement the Lodha Panel recommendations. Biswaroop had completed his 9 years tenure and the others were already over 70 years of age.
